“Hunger” joins the Blood Bash 2023 lineup as an Official Selection!

We are pleased to announce the next film in the Blood Bash 2023 International Horror Film Festival & Convention – – – – – Hunger!

Hunger comes to us from Mexico, making it the first film from Mexico to be selected for BB23! It was written and directed by Carlos Meléndez, produced by Mar Mercado, Tim Luna, and Marius Henry Hoyo. It stars Damian Rodriguez Martinez, Evan Zahid Parra Sanchez, and Lilia Mendoza, and has a runtime of 15 minutes even.

The official synopsis of the movie:
“A child is being tormented by a voracious well demanding food from him. But as he proves unable to satisfy its hunger, he drags himself to find another way of feeding it.”

If there’s one thing that Blood Bash judges (both VIP and Panel) seem to love, it’s movies that star children. Pearlies won Best In Show in 2019, and last year saw Lay Them Straight take home not only “Best In Show”, but also “Favorite Female Performance.” With that being said, you have to kind of like the odds of Hunger doing well at this show, as this features not one but two great child performances and is a monster movie in it’s truest sense

Our judges are still determining the final standings for the film festival, so we don’t know if this movie will be screening on Friday night as part of our Semi-Final lineup, or on Saturday as part of our Finalists lineup! Stay tuned to find out, though, as we will make that announcement this month!

Blood Bash 2023 is an International Horror Festival and Convention coming to the Commonwealth Commerce Center in downtown Jackson, Michigan, that will be happening on Friday, February 10th, and Saturday, February 11th, 2023!
