“Lay Them Straight” Brings Home Awards for “Best In Show” and “Favorite Female Performance” at Blood Bash 2022!

In the closest “Best In Show” contest in the history of Blood Bash, the 2022 “Best In Show” award goes to….Lay Them Straight – out of Canada! Written and directed by Robert Delesky, “Lay Them Straight” just hit differently than any other horror film in not only this year’s contest, but ANY year’s contest. This is NOT your straight up traditional horror flick, not by a long shot. There’s no blood, guts, or gore – but rather – the horror from this film is syphoned out of the mind of a young, and shall we say, different girl. What follows is less a trip to the multiplex to get your blood boiling and more of a trip into the life of pretty much any teenage girl – – – and let’s be real, that can be terrifying. This is a phenomenal short film from start to finish, and from the writing to the directing, to the acting on behalf of ALL parties involved – this film is a welcomed addition to the Blood Bash Wall of Fame!

Speaking of acting, young Charlotte Marron leads an incredibly talented cast and we are honored to present her with the “Favorite Female Performance” award! She becomes the youngest person to ever win this award, and we are beyond excited to see what future endeavors she takes on! We’re fans for life, Charlotte! Congratulations!
