“Summer of 94” is in for 2023’s Film Festival!

We are pleased to announce the next film in the Blood Bash 2023 International Horror Film Festival & Convention – – – – – Summer of 94!

Summer of 94 comes to us from Germany, making it the first film from Germany to be selected for BB23! It was written and directed by Bastia Schwarz and Oliver Schwarz, and was produced by Matthias Karstadt! It stars Jonas Quanter, Leopold Sewerin, Jasper Jeske, and Oria Thiede, and has a runtime of 14 minutes and 55 seconds.

The official synopsis of the movie:
“Summer of ’94: Three friends, Alex, Niklas and Tim are making the most of the first day of the summer vacation. While searching for the perfect place for their treehouse, they come across a deserted building in the forest, and the day which started out so well, takes an eerie turn for the worse.”

What would happen if you took nostalgic movies like Stand By Me or the Sandlot, mixed it with Stephen King’s “It,” and sprinkled some Guardians of the Galaxy flavor on top? Well, you’d end up with “Summer of 94.” This movie is SOMETHING ELSE, trust us!

Our judges are still determining the final standings for the film festival, so we don’t know if this movie will be screening on Friday night as part of our Semi-Final lineup, or on Saturday as part of our Finalists lineup! Stay tuned to find out, though, as we will make that announcement this month!

Blood Bash 2023 is an International Horror Festival and Convention coming to the Commonwealth Commerce Center in downtown Jackson, Michigan, that will be happening on Friday, February 10th, and Saturday, February 11th, 2023! Friday night is FILM FESTIVAL BONUS NIGHT that will show all of our Semi-Finalists, as well as have an exclusive Friday Night Only Gaming Experience (find out more on that later,) and SATURDAY, February 11th, is the MAIN CONVENTION day, and will feature the FINALISTS, the Scream Queen Contest, the Cosplay Contest, all of the video gaming and carnival gaming, and of course, the belle of the ball, OUR VENDOR ROOM!!! Saturday is the biggest day for sure, but if you want to experience EVERYTHING that Blood Bash has to offer, we highly recommend buying the 2 day pass so you can see all 44 films!!

$20 for 2-Day Pass that gives you BOTH days of movies!
$5 – Kids tickets that are good for either / both days! Remember, though, this is a HORROR FILM FESTIVAL, so don’t bring kids too young.
