Blood Bash 2017 was a blast, and just in case you ever wanted to see what the original event description looked like – – – here it is!!!

Michigan’s Entertainment, Gaming, Geek and Arts Experience (Meggaxp) invites you to EXPERIENCE horror like never before! Valentine’s weekend, 2017, join the people behind Meggaxp as they bring a horror show like no other to Jackson, Michigan…..the BLOOD BASH!

What makes Blood Bash so different? Well, let’s do a little…dissecting, shall we?

Tickets ONLY available at the door! In true old school fashion, there are no pre-sale tickets for this event! Head to the Commonwealth Commerce Center on February 11th to get your tickets and enjoy the spectacle!!!

Kids 6-12 $5
Kids 5 and under are free BUT PARENTS PLEASE USE YOUR JUDGEMENT ON THIS – – – MOST ASPECTS OF THIS SHOW ARE NOT KID FRIENDLY. You’ve been warned 🙂

Celebrity Guests:
Alex Vincent aka Andy from Child’s Play! Alex is CURRENTLY FILMING “Cult of Chucky,” and he’s literaly leaving the set of the film to come to Blood Bash and then flying BACK afterwards! He’s going to meet fans, sign autographs ($25 each), and even sit in on a screening of Child’s Play at 6:00 PM (with a Q & A session immediately following!) Alex will be at the con for the duration, too, including being at the My Bloody Valentine Dance Party!!!

First of all, we will feature over 30 artists, crafters, and exhibitors brining nothing but horror merchandise to the con for your sick and twisted souls to purchase! From artwork and prints to diabolical demonic bears, Blood Bash will have something for everyone!

VR Haunt Experience:
Our friends at Clueless Escape Rooms are bringing a horror themed VR experience to the center of the grand ballroom for your gaming pleasure!!! Using the HTC Vive and some of the scariest games you can get on VR, this truly is an out of this world experience!

Horror Film Fest: (Your ticket to Blood Bash gets you access to the entire film fest, you can come and go as you please):

12:00 Noon – Devil’s Ink World Premiere – followed by a Q & A with the cast and crew!
1:50 PM – Attack of the Giant Leeches
2:55 PM – Invasion of the Bee Girls
4:30 PM – Dementia 13
6:00 PM – Child’s Play screening with Alex Vincent (Andy Barclay) with a Q & A panel immediately following!

My Bloody Valentine Dinner, Concert & Dance
After the main show and the Child’s Play Screening – the Ballroom will be transformed into the My Bloody Valentine Dinner, Concert & Dance party!

Dinner – Dinner will bbe served from 7:45 pm – 9:30pm or until supplies are gone.
Cost is only $6.50 per person and includes:
1 Entree (choice of Glazed Ham, Sliced Roast Beef, BBQ Chicken)
1 Potato (choice of Mashed Potatoes or Au Gratin)
1 Vegetable (choice off Baked Corn or Green Bean Casserole)
1 Roll

We are honored to feature musical guest Lords of October, who will be playing 3 sets of music starting at 8:15 pm! In between their sets, we will feautre burlesque shows by the one and only Sophia VonStardust, as well as open the dance floor up for general dance!

Cosplay Contest: Approximately 9:00 PM
How could Meggaxp have an event without a cosplay contest? Yes, kiddies, we will feature a cosplay contest – where people will compete to be crowned Blood Bash Champions for 2017! We will have a few different categories, so check back for more on this!

Scream Queen Contest: Approximately 9:20 PM
Who can produce the most intense scream? Find out during the My Bloody Valentine Dance Party! We will crown one of the ladies in attendance – – – – whoever screams the most authentic horror movie scream!

Dance Party – The dark and extremely DJ Revan will be spinning dance music fit for a horror show all night until 1:30 AM! We will alternate between Lords of October, Burlesque Show, and open dancing for the first couple of hours of the party, and then at 11:45 PM we will have open dancing all night!

Horror themed gaming:
This IS brought to you by the people who run Meggaxp, and as such, you KNOW there’s GOT TO BE SOME GAMING GOING ON! Take a trip to Blood Bash and visit a museum of sorts, where you can learn about and play some of the video game industry’s most controversial and scary games of all time! From Night Trap (Sega CD) to Friday the 13th (NES) to Left 4 Dead (XBOX 360) and more – there’s going to be a lot of games to check out and even some challenges to enter…if you dare.
Not only will there be video games, though, the good folks at ThroatPunchGames will once again be demoing some of the darker tabletop games from the past 30 years, including one of our all time favorites from growing up – the Nightmare VHS Board Game! BEWARE THE GATEKEEPER! There will be several games to check out that’ll keep your horror itch scratched until Halloween comes around.

Just in! Our friends at Acropolis Games will ALSO be demoing games and have an ENORMOUS selection of product to purchase as well!

All Day Drink Specials:
Blood Bash will feature $5 Bloody Marys and $5 Beer pitchers ALL EVENT LONG!!!! Also wine for $4, and more amazing drink specials!

Where to go in?
We are using the GRAND BALLROOM entrance only – – – which is located on the East side of the building (off of Washington Street). You can park in either the East parking lot or the South parking lot, or the parking garage across the street.
