“Rise & Shine” arrives at Blood Bash 2023!

We are pleased to announce the next film in the Blood Bash 2023 International Horror Film Festival & Convention – – – – – Rise & Shine!

Rise & Shine comes to us from Switzerland, making it the first film from Switzerland to be selected for BB23! It was directed by Arnaud Baur, was written by Damien Mazza, and produced by Arnaud S. Gantenbein and Pascal Forney. It stars Capucine Lhemanne, Noemie Baudet, Jason Grangier, Arnaud Huguenin, and Yann Schmidhalter, and has a runtime of 11 minutes even.

The official synopsis of the movie:
“Nancy works in a small gas station shop. Disillusioned, not even the news of an apocalypse seems to worry her. But the sudden arrival of a mysterious customer could change all that. Will Nancy finally find meaning in her life? Or in her death?”

Rise & Shine is an incredibly well done movie that is part Clerks, part Shaun of the Dead, and ALL fun! It has great acting, production value, and is sure to be a fan favorite of the festival. It has been a selection at 16 film festivals and counting, too!

Our judges are still determining the final standings for the film festival, so we don’t know if this movie will be screening on Friday night as part of our Semi-Final lineup, or on Saturday as part of our Finalists lineup! Stay tuned to find out, though, as we will make that announcement this month!

Blood Bash 2023 is an International Horror Festival and Convention coming to the Commonwealth Commerce Center in downtown Jackson, Michigan, that will be happening on Friday, February 10th, and Saturday, February 11th, 2023! Friday night is FILM FESTIVAL BONUS NIGHT that will show all of our Semi-Finalists, as well as have an exclusive Friday Night Only Gaming Experience (find out more on that later,) and SATURDAY, February 11th, is the MAIN CONVENTION day, and will feature the FINALISTS, the Scream Queen Contest, the Cosplay Contest, all of the video gaming and carnival gaming, and of course, the belle of the ball, OUR VENDOR ROOM!!! Saturday is the biggest day for sure, but if you want to experience EVERYTHING that Blood Bash has to offer, we highly recommend buying the 2 day pass so you can see all 44 films!!
