No Tall Tale Here, “The Fable of Quarantamaula” has made it into the Blood Bash 2023 Film Festival!

We are pleased to announce the next film in the Blood Bash 2023 International Horror Film Festival & Convention – – – – – The Fable of Quarantamaula!

The Dark Midnight comes to us from Spain, making it the SIXTH film from Spain to be selected for BB23! It was written, directed, and produced by Alberto Rey and Miguel Puga, and has a runtime of 18 minutes.

The official synopsis of the movie:
“Ana, an ambitious director of an aggregate extraction company, manages to close a large international business by expanding the quarry that her family exploits. A success with a high personal cost that will affect his son Rodrigo, who, due to the separation of his parents, lives a reactionary and violent stage. Another of those directly affected is Virgili, a hermit who must be evicted from his house due to the expansion, triggering the reaction of the Quarantamaula.”

Who doesn’t enjoy a good ol’ fable, right? Well, this isn’t Aesop’s variety, people, trust us! This film has a very Guillermo Del Toro style to it, and we’re sure it’s going to delight fans of his and attendees of Blood Bash alike!

Our judges are still determining the final standings for the film festival, so we don’t know if this movie will be screening on Friday night as part of our Semi-Final lineup, or on Saturday as part of our Finalists lineup! Stay tuned to find out, though, as we will make that announcement this month!

Blood Bash 2023 is an International Horror Festival and Convention coming to the Commonwealth Commerce Center in downtown Jackson, Michigan, that will be happening on Friday, February 10th, and Saturday, February 11th, 2023! Friday night is FILM FESTIVAL BONUS NIGHT that will show all of our Semi-Finalists, as well as have an exclusive Friday Night Only Gaming Experience (find out more on that later,) and SATURDAY, February 11th, is the MAIN CONVENTION day, and will feature the FINALISTS, the Scream Queen Contest, the Cosplay Contest, all of the video gaming and carnival gaming, and of course, the belle of the ball, OUR VENDOR ROOM!!! Saturday is the biggest day for sure, but if you want to experience EVERYTHING that Blood Bash has to offer, we highly recommend buying the 2 day pass so you can see all 44 films!!
